Instructions:
For CJE Foundation, Annie B. Hillman Memorial Scholarship consideration, you must:
- Be a graduating senior (2023-2024) from any high school and resident of Hancock County.
- Be accepted at an accredited four-year college or university.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to apply.
- Exemplify CJEF’s motto, “Gives a Helping Hand!” through involvement at school and your community.
Awards:
Scholarship Range: $1,000, Number of Awards: One or more.
The Selection Committee comprised of representatives from CJE Foundation Board of Directors shall make the selection of the scholarship recipient(s) and forward notice to your high school. The scholarship disbursement shall be made directly to the scholarship recipient(s) at the graduation ceremony. The scholarship must be utilized to support school related expenses.
Complete this scholarship application package and upload required files with this application submission no later than May 31, 2024.
To compete for the scholarship, CJE Foundation requires you to complete a one-page essay on “What healthy foods you would like to see on our food service menu.”
Students may use resources such as school administrators, counselors, teachers, parents, websites, etc. as background research but the essay must be original from the student. Students may only submit one entry. Submissions including copyrighted material or the use of inappropriate/vulgar language will be disqualified from the contest.
Submissions will be considered for implementation on the CJE Foundation menu and website, the CJE Foundation Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages. All entries will be judged by the CJEF Board of Directors.
